Title: The Richest Man In Babylon
Author: George S. Clason
Rating: 5 / 5
George S. Clason was born in 1874. He made a career in publishing and was the first to publish a road atlas of the United States and Canada. In 1926 he began to publish pamphlets on financial success and saving money. These pamphlets were parables set in ancient Babylon. Banks and insurance companies began to distribute the parables and the most famous stories were compiled into the book The Richest Man in Babylon.
Few books on finance remain relevant for more than a decade, so the fact that Clason’s work is still applicable nearly a century later affirms its genius. This is a great gift for a graduate or anyone who seems baffled by the world of finance. A wonderful and refreshing read for even the most experienced investor.
